Christian Somatics
Christian Somatic Writer
I’m John, a Christian somatic writer and practitioner.
Christian Somatics is a gentle, embodied way of following Jesus.
Here I help Christians learn how to be with their bodies as God designed.
May this space bring you safety, softness, and Christ centred peace.Somatic work helps the body feel safe.
Christian Somatics helps the body feel safe with Christ. So Christian Somatics is a Christian learning to love
and connect with their body the way
God already loves their body.Christian Somatics is where nervous system science meets
the gentle, healing presence of Jesus. It begins with simple noticing of the breath, the pace, and the small movements of the body that tell the truth before words arrive.
As we learn to notice these places, we also begin to understand the attachment wounds and developmental wounds
that shaped how our body learned to protect itself
and how it learned to reach for connection.
A quiet introduction to who I am and why Christian Somatics.I am a writer and somatic practitioner
learning to befriend the body
and notice how Jesus comes close
in overwhelmed places. Here is how this space gently opens. We begin with the body. The breath. The pace.
The small signals that tell the truth before words arrive.
We start by noticing simple body parts and movements,
the places that contract, expand, and rest,
so the body can show us what it feels and remembers. As your system settles,
we listen for the story beneath the reaction.
The younger parts your heart and body still remember.
The tender emotions. The unmet needs
shaping how you learned to survive.
Including the attachment wounds and developmental wounds
that shaped how your body learned to protect itself
and how it learned to reach for connection. We move slowly, following your capacity,
letting the nervous system lead
instead of pressure or fixing. In that gentle space, Jesus meets you.
Only as your body allows,
He leads you toward the places
that once felt too overwhelming to touch.Together, we build the capacity
to stay present with what arises.
To receive compassion where shame once lived.
To reconnect with the parts of you
that have been waiting to be
seen, heard, and held. This work is for Christians who feel overwhelmed, shut down,
anxious, or unsure how to be with their own emotions.
It offers a gentle, body led way of healing that makes
space for Jesus to meet you where
your nervous system needs Him most.
What I offer is
slow, grounded, and spacious.
I move gently
and honour people’s capacity.
I stay close to the real experience of the body
and the steady kindness of God.A gentle space
where people finally feel safe enough to heal.I blend Christian Somatic work
with The Compassion Method™
to offer a body‑led way of healing. The body shows us what feels overwhelmed or shut down,
and compassion helps us understand
the tender emotions and unmet needs underneath. We move slowly,
following your nervous system’s pace,
with space for grounding, co‑regulation,
and the steady presence of Jesus. As your body settles,
younger parts can be met
with kindness, truth,
and the emotional “gifts” they didn’t receive. This approach helps you build capacity,
find meaning in your emotions,
and reconnect with who you truly are —
in a way that is safe, simple,
and Spirit‑led.May these words feel like a quiet room —
a place where you can soften, slow down,
and meet Jesus in the truth of your own body. What I Offer
